All of our tutors are fully qualified.

All of our tutors are fully qualified, practising primary school teachers – not career tutors, not graduates, but experienced classroom professionals who bring their expertise directly to your child.

Our QTS-qualified, DBS-checked team each have over 10 years’ experience, specialising in Reception to Year 6 across Maths, English, Reading Fluency, Phonics and Special Education. Between them, our teachers have taught in the UK, Canada, Australia and Ireland – bringing a broad and rich perspective to every session.

Cahir

Year 6 Teacher | 15+ years' experience

Cahir is a current Year 6 teacher and a member of his school’s leadership team. He graduated from Dublin City University with a first class honours Business degree before completing his PGCE at St Mary’s University in 2011. Since moving to England, he has taught across numerous schools in the Richmond and Kingston boroughs.
Cahir has a passion for helping children reach their potential both academically and in sport. In his role as PE subject lead, he has helped his schools achieve the School Games Mark Gold award. He brings the same energy and dedication to his 1:1 and small group tutoring sessions.

Sandra

Year 6 Teacher | 20+ years' experience | Specialist in Special Education

Sandra has over 20 years of experience in primary education, teaching Years 2-6. She holds a four-year honours degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Windsor in Canada, along with specialist qualifications in Special Education and Religious Education. She has taught in Canada, Australia and the UK.
Since moving to the UK in 2016, Sandra has worked extensively with small group interventions and 1:1 tutoring in addition to her classroom teaching. She has a particular talent for diagnosing individual learning needs and tailoring programmes that help every child reach their full potential in an encouraging, supportive way.

Shane

Year 6 Teacher | 17 years' experience | Masters in Education

Shane currently teaches in Year 6 and has 14 years teaching experience in primary schools working in Years 1-6. The majority of Shane’s experience is from teaching in London (Richmond and Wandsworth Borough) but he has also taught in Australia. Shane qualified from the National University of Ireland, Galway with a Bachelor of Arts Degree specialising in English and Mathematics. Following this, he completed his PGCE at St. Mary’s University, Twickenham and recently completed a Masters in Education.
As well as class teaching, Shane teaches groups in his school. Shane has experience  identifying barriers to learning and implementing a plan to overcome any issues which may be hindering excellent progress and high attainment. Shane has over 10 years of experience in private tutoring. This includes helping children improve on specific curriculum areas, building confidence and resilience as well as preparing children for entrance exams to most of the top local state, grammar and private schools.  

Kirsty

Year 6 Teacher | English Writing Lead

Kirsty is a current Year 6 teacher and her school’s English Writing lead. She holds a degree in English Language and Linguistics from the University of York and completed her PGCE at St Mary’s University, Twickenham.
Kirsty is passionate about the English language and creative writing, and is particularly skilled at building children’s confidence – both in the classroom and beyond. She brings enthusiasm and warmth to every session.
