Our Teachers

All of our tutors are fully qualified.

Our QTS qualified, DBS-checked tutors are full-time teachers with over 10 years of experience. Specialising in Reception to Year 6, we cover Maths, Writing, Reading Fluency, Phonics, and Special Education. Our teachers have taught in the UK, Canada, Australia, and Ireland.

Cahir

Teacher

Cahir is a current Year 6 teacher and member of his school’s leadersip team with over 10 years’ experience teaching in primary schools from Years 2 – 6. He graduated from Dublin City University with a first class honours Business Degree before completing his PCGE at St Mary’s University in 2011.

Since moving to England, he has taught in numerous schools in the Richmond and Kingston boroughs.He has a passion for helping children reach their potential in both their academic and sporting endeavors. In his additional role as PE subject lead, he has helped his schools win the School Games Mark Gold level award; a government led award scheme.

He also has years of experience tutoring children in 1:1 and small group situations ensuring maximum progress and attainment for those in his care.

Sandra

Teacher

Sandra currently teaches Year 6 and has almost 20 years of experience in primary education as a class teacher in Years 2-6.  She obtained a 4-year honours degree in English Language and Literature at the University of Western Ontario before completing her Bachelor of Education at the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada. She also holds additional specialist qualifications in Special Education and Religious Education. She has taught in Canada, Australia and currently in the UK.

Since moving to the UK in 2016, Sandra has taught Year 6 and has also worked to support children in small group interventions and 1:1 tutoring. She has extensive experience with (and a passion for) diagnosing individual learning needs to tailor programmes designed to help children reach their maximum potential in an encouraging, supportive way.

Shane

Teacher

Shane currently teaches in Year 6 and has 14 years teaching experience in primary schools working in Years 1-6. The majority of Shane’s experience is from teaching in London (Richmond and Wandsworth Borough) but he has also taught in Australia. Shane qualified from the National University of Ireland, Galway with a Bachelor of Arts Degree specialising in English and Mathematics. Following this, he completed his PGCE at St. Mary’s University, Twickenham and recently completed a Masters in Education.

As well as class teaching, Shane teaches groups in his school. Shane has experience  identifying barriers to learning and implementing a plan to overcome any issues which may be hindering excellent progress and high attainment. Shane has over 10 years of experience in private tutoring. This includes helping children improve on specific curriculum areas, building confidence and resilience as well as preparing children for entrance exams to most of the top local state, grammar and private schools.

Kirsty

Teacher

Kirsty is a current year 6 teacher. She completed her degree in English Language and Linguistics from the University of York. After many years working as a teaching assistant, she completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Education at St Mary’s University, Twickenham.

Kirsty is passionate about the English language and creative writing. She is the current English Writing lead for her school. She’s also interested in building children’s confidence through the arts and sport.
